BerbereX Wound Cleanser A 50 year old male had ulnar nerve decompression surgery on February 21, 2014. Overall, the patient was healthy with no chronic illness. Picture 1 shows the patient’s elbow three days after surgery in between his "rst dressing change and before being treated with BerbereX. No systemic or topical antibiotics were used after the surgery.
Three days after surgery, the patient’s dressing was changed to a new dressing composed of gauze saturated with BerbereX. The dressing was changed 12 hours later and BerbereX was reapplied. After this second BerbereX application, the patient was able to discontinue Vicodin as pain was significantly reduced. The same change of dressing was repeated twice the next day. Picture 2 shows the patient’s elbow after the dressing was removed the next morning after 48 hours of treatment using a dressing of gauze saturated with BerbereX. At this point, treatment was
discontinued and a "nal photo, Picture 3, shows the wound 2 weeks later.
